I found the idea to make candy advent calendars in the Family Fun quite a few years ago. We haven't done it every year, but we do it often. Last year we did it on Dec. 1st and the kids really enjoyed making them as well as using them throughout the month. This year we decided to do them early so we could do some extras and put some in the mail. We had the missionaries over for dinner on Sunday while we were making them and so we gave each of the missionaries one. They both seemed to really like them. In the picture above, Morgan is laying some out on the saran wrap.
Here, Marissa shows off a bunch of the advent calendars that we made. We ended up making 17. Marissa, Morgan and Maddie all helped a whole bunch. Rob and Reagan helped a bit, but at times they contributed more stress then help!
