Fun with Science

Here's a sampling of some of the fun science projects we've done recently.Bath Jelly - We used unflavored gelatin and bubble bath. The girls mixed it up and then it set up in the fridge with a plastic duck in the center. The girls loved this.
Maddie had a great time playing with this shaving cream. It was also quite a mess!
Reagan checking out some items to see if they sink or float!
Maddie & Reagan with their sink or float bucket.
Maddie with her list of sink or float results. The girls had fun doing this, but when I asked if it was fun enough to do again, they said, "No, it's too much like school!" I can understand that.
Lava bottles. These were a hit. Made from oil, water, food coloring . . . and the thing that turns them into lava lamps is alka seltzer tablets.
The next day when Nancy was over, Reagan went and got her lava lamp and added an alka seltzer tablet to show Nancy how cool it was!
