This was the 5th year for Mark and some of his friends from work to plan a pheasant hunt on Jan. 15. They always do it about the 2nd week in January (when our girls were in competitive gymnastics it always interfered with the home meet!). This year 2 guys came from Bermuda and Nick came from Atlanta. Nick is one of the guys that has been at all 5 hunts. Rob even got to miss school and go hunting this year, too. All of the other years Mark had a group picture taken, but this year there were only pictures of individuals.
Here is Rob with a pheasant that he shot. Rob really enjoys doing all the outdoor activities that his Dad loves to do!

Kate got to go hunting too!. Kate loves to hunt, but hates to ride in her crate in the back of the truck. Rob spent about 15 minutes chasing her around the neighborhood at about 6 a.m. in the morning. She got away twice when Mark and Rob were trying to put her in the crate. By the time they left to go hunting, Mark was ready to get rid of Kate!! Kate spent about 8 months last year away at hunting dog school. She came home a changed dog; much more manageable. She didn't have a real great hunting day this time, though, she was a bit out of control!!
