Rob wrestled in this jv tournament in Marion. The tournament started about 10 minutes early and so I got there at the very end of his first match. His first match was against a kid that Rob wrestled quite a few times in kids wrestling. The kid was a good wrestler, but he was always a lot smaller then Rob and Rob always beat him handily. The kid is now about 10 pounds bigger then Rob. He had put Rob in a headlock and got a 5 point move. At the end of the match Rob was behind 5-1 when Rob did a fancy move and ended up winning 6-5. I walked in right as Rob did the fancy move and I hadn't even noticed the score. I just saw Rob with the other kid on his back and then Rob's hand being raised when he won.
This kid from Augusta was so big!! He looked HUGE in comparison to Rob.
Rob still managed to take him down and put him on his back
and win the match.
Rob had to wrestle his team mate who can barely make weight and Rob weighs in with his clothes on, shoes on, etc and today he weighed 86 which is the most he had weighed all year. Rob wrestled 103 and at this point in the season the kids only have to make 105.
This kid was another really big one!
