The 2nd graders at Maddie's school do unit in which they do a popcorn business. Maddie's class business was called "Popcorn Land". They went to a bank and took out a loan so that they would have money to buy supplies. The students were all divided up into different departments. Maddie was on the advertising staff so she helped do the commercial. I came in to pop the popcorn on the day they were filling the orders. It was really cute to see how the kids all worked together and how excited they were.

Here is a picture of Maddie filling a popcorn bag. Her friend Sarah is next to her in the pink. The kids rotated through all of the assembly line jobs, but filling the bags was most definitely the favorite job!
