Valentines

Making our own Valentines is one of our favorite traditions. Some years we take the easy way out and just buy Valentines, but we don't do that very often. I usually let the girls choose and they always choose to make their own Valentines when given the choice.
This year Morgan chose to make these pillowbox alligators. Marissa had made some last year and thought they were hard. They were time consuming, but they found that using the glue gun to stick the bodies together worked really well. Marissa is so great to help the younger girls with craft projects. She is really good at helping them and explaining things to them and they all love having Marissa help them.
The idea for these pillowbox alligators came from the Skip to My Lou website.
Maddie decided to make flower Valentines this year. The flower center was a blow pop and the flower was made from three cut out hearts.
The ideas for these flowers came from the Family Fun website.
Reagan is not allowed to give candy with her Valentines at preschool so she decided on these twirly-birds. We got the ideas for these from the Skip to My Lou website, too. We had come up with ideas for Reagan to attach a pencil and another one to attach a glow stick. However, once Reagan saw these twirly birds - she was dead set that this is what she was going to do!!!
