I got this FHE chart while I was in Utah at the beginning of the summer. We have a problem with certain people ( i.e Maddie & Morgan) being the main ones that give the lesson. I thought this chart would help balance things out a bit. However, today I thought Reagan was doing the lesson. When it was time for family night, Maddie was giving the lesson. I figured out that Maddie had decided that no one wanted to participate so it pretty much ended up being Maddie & Mark doing everything. The rest of us were given a week off as you can see in the little box. So Mark made a new rule, that only Mom & Dad can write on the board. Maddie does a good job with lessons, but sometimes they are a bit long. I must admit I've even joined in with the complainers and tried to set some time limits. One good thing, though, Maddie's enthusiasm keeps us on track and encourages us to do family night.
Maddie giving the lesson with a good attitude even though some of her siblings are being a bit antagonistic.
The chart that Maddie made for a parable she made up. I was impressed that she did this on her own. Meaning of the parable: The numbers on the plant show you aging. The weeds are temptations. The weed killer is Jesus who helps you fight temptations. The plant food is the Holy Ghost and the water is the gospel. The sun is Heavenly Father.
Rob questioning the meaning of the parable.
Marissa & Morgan having fun as they make obnoxious comments.
Reagan and Mark actually participating like normal people.
