She then wove the strips together to make this headband. She made them for all of her friends, too. They turned out really cute!
This is the book that I've been reading and it is absolutely amazing!! I would say that it may actually be my favorite book that I have EVER read! I just love the author's point of view. It is written by a lady who is a writer and considers herself happy, but wants to be even happier. She writes about her year of working on specific things to be happy which she calls her "Happiness Project". I've been reading 1 chapter a day and taking notes so I can really soak in what she is saying. That is why I haven't all ready finished it. She also has a blog and that is great, too. I told my friend, Myrna, about the book and she started reading it, too, and said that she loves it as well. I just LOVE this book!!A few other random things without pictures:
*I was at the grocery store the other day with all of the kids except Marissa. We walked past a lady and she turned and asked us if our last name was "Housley". I turned to her and said yes. It turned out that she was a lady from our stake who has been working with Marissa to prepare for girls camp. She said that when she saw Morgan, she just knew that had to be Marissa's sister. There was too much similarity for it not to be. Morgan & Rob still swear that Morgan and Marissa don't look anything alike.
*Marissa got a 4 on both her AP English test and her AP calculus test. She was very happy and Mark was very happy because that means college credits that he won't have to pay the going rate for!!
*We went to Olive Garden the other night for dinner. Towards the end, Reagan said to me, "They're right. They do treat you like family here!" I looked at her funny and asked her what she was talking about. She said, "You know, like how the commercial says that they treat you like family at Olive Garden!" I told the waitress what Reagan said and it made her night. A few minutes later she told me that was probably the nicest compliment that she's ever received. It was pretty funny!
