Snowballs & Slime

One of our days this summer is to do a fun concoction. We've been slacking a little bit in this area. However, today I got Morgan to help me plan some things to do. She found a cool website that I hadn't come across before with some great ideas. I took the kids shopping with me today to get some of the things we needed for our concoctions such as ivory soap, glycerine and Metamucil! The girls grated Ivory soap and then put a surprise in the middle of them and packed the soap together to form a snowball. They had a great time with this activity. The next day Maddie took a bath with her soap and Mark noticed the huge soap mess in the bath tub. I was questioning Mark saying that I had cleaned the tub in the morning. He came back and assured met that the tub looks clean as to having no rings, but there is definitely a soap mess!!
The girls playing with the slime they made. This concoction was made in the microwave with water and Metamucil. I bought a small jar of Metamucil since the only thing we'll be using it for is slime!!
I love this picture of the slime dripping off Reagan's hands.
The girls had a great time playing with the slime and I had not so great a time cleaning some of it off the counter after someone forgot to seal the ziploc bag!!
