I was really lame when it came to taking pictures on the 4th. I didn't take any pictures of people or fireworks. I spent pretty much the whole day cooking and Maddie helped cook as well. I did take pictures of what Maddie cooked.
Maddie made these layered jello stars! They turned out really good and were yummy, too!
I made 3 different types of homemade ice cream. Mark grilled shishkabobs. We ended up having 3 different families over - the Schwabes, Taylors, and Wests. We also had 7 missionaries - Elder Taylor, Elder Stratton, and Elder Herbert, Sister Taylor and Sister Beuchert from our ward and Elder Black and Elder Holbrook from the Bel Aire ward.
The fireworks were awesome as always. Every year as I watch the fireworks around us I am thoroughly amazed at the fireworks that we are allowed to set off in Kansas. It is alot of crazy fun!! We had one firework this year that went crazy and started shooting every direction, at us, at our neighbors cars, etc., but lucky no harm was done! The 4th of July in Andover is truly the best!! The next day Rob told me that the only holiday he likes better then the 4th of July is Christmas!!
