Tanganyika

On July 1 we went to Tanganyika.  I had helped arrange rides and I was planning to take the missionaries to Tanganyika.  However, it turned out that it was too expensive for the missionaries so they couldn't go!  When I was taking the missionaries, I was leaving my kids home because I didn't have room.  However, once the missionaries weren't going my kids wanted me to take them.  Rob hadn't been before except to the time we went right before it officially opened and there were hardly any animals to pet!

 This group of lemurs were the craziest ones I had seen.  There were a bunch of babies and they loved to jump.  The kids stayed sitting the whole time and I stayed standing the whole time.  I had left my nice camera home and so I was taking pictures with my cell phone.  There were a couple of times that a lemur landed on my hand and cell phone!

 Here is a picture of a bunch of goats!  There were also some alpacas with the goats even though I didn't get a picture of the alpacas.  The kids were feeding the alpacas and goats and all of a sudden one of the alpaca decided to spit at Reagan!  It got on her cheek, nose and mouth -- totally gross!  Needless to say, Reagan didn't like it too much.  Rob thought it was one of the funniest things he had ever seen.  He pretty much laughed about it the rest of the day!

 The kids could choose between feeding the rhino or a camel ride.  Reagan opted for the camel ride!

Feeding the giraffes!  The kids loved this!  Reagan and Rob thought that the only activities better than feeding the giraffes was feeding the lemurs, rhino & riding the camel!
