The girls were excited when they started to see all of the snow outside and the mountains so they asked if they could take pictures. I was a little bit leery, but I let them take pictures from the car of the outside and of themselves.

Driving to Utah
We left on Thursday about 3 p.m. I only got the girls out of school an hour early so they wouldn't get an absence. It was about 70 degrees and beautiful in Wichita when we left. Each time we stopped and got gas, it was getting colder and colder. It seemed really cold in Colorado, but we didn't actually get into snow until about Cheyenne where we spent the night.
We stayed at Little America in Cheyenne Thursday night. I took this picture of Morgan & Maddie in the morning before we left. Reagan wasn't interested in being in the picture. When we left, we knew I-80 was closed at Laramie, but I just wanted to be closer to Utah when it opened. I drove about 45 from Cheyenne to Laramie on snowy roads. We stopped in Laramie and hung out at K-Mart for about an hour. We went back to the freeway and it was open so we continued on our way. The roads were clear and we were able to go the speed limit the rest of the way. We made it to Utah by about 4:30.

The girls had the camera out for about 10 minutes and I figured by then they had time to take a few pictures and they could put the camera away. That evening when I looked at their pictures, I discovered they had taken more then 60 pictures of mostly sagebrush and mountains. I kept a few, but deleted most of them!
