We ended up leaving for home in the late afternoon on Friday. We were all just ready to go home and we were hoping to see Rob play baseball on Saturday. We drove to Laramie and spent the night. We left early the next morning and we were back in Wichita by 4:30 on Thursday.
We drove straight to the ballpark to see Rob play. Here is a picture of him batting.
Marissa, Morgan and Reagan being "gangstas"! Marissa has a shirt and all 3 of them have baseball caps from our Royals basket. The elementary carnival was the night before. The girls were bummed they couldn't be there, but they were also disappointed we wouldn't get a basket this year. The first year we went to the carnival we got about 6 or 7 baskets. I think we got every basket we bid on, but one. After that, we learned to only bid on 2. We usually bid high enough to get both of the baskets we bid on. We just look at it as a donation to the school. Marissa went to the carnival and helped to get some service hours. Mark & Rob went over right at the end of the basket bidding to bid on some baskets. They bid on the Royals basket and the Jayhawk basket. (I told the girls that I figured they would probably bid on sports or outdoors type baskets. I was definitely right!) We won the Royals basket, but we were outbid on the Jayhawk one. When we got home, the girls were just happy we got a basket!
