Goose-egg, carrots & art show

Last Friday during batting practice Rob was playing golf with baseball bats and balls with some of his team mates and he got hit in the forehead with the barrel of the bat.  You can see the goose egg in this picture, but this picture doesn't even do it justice.  It was huge!  By the next day, though, it had gone down and didn't even look bad.  The headache was gone, too, so he didn't even get a concussion out of it.  Lucky!!!

Maddie went outside to her garden spot from last year and saw there were some carrot plants.  She started pulling the carrots and this was her harvest.  She was pretty happy!!

Tonight we went over to the library to see some of the pictures in the elementary art show for our district.  Maddie had 2 pieces of art selected so she was pretty proud of that.  She only found out about it last night.  This is the snowman that she made.

When Maddie found out that she was going to have art in the art show, the first thing she wanted to do was call our friends, the Israels.  Gary is an artist and he came to see Maddie's artwork at the art show last year, too.
