Today was our annual Tri-Ward Memorial Day 5K and 1 mile run. It is really nice for us that it is held at a park right by our house. Mark & Rob are never able to go to this because the older boys from our ward always leave the morning of Memorial Day on their High Adventure Trip! Mark & Rob left this morning to go canoeing in Arkansas.
The girls decided that they would all participate in the one mile run/walk but they were all planning on running. Here is a picture at the start of the one mile run of Maddie with Kate.
When Maddie was about 50 yards from the finish line, Kate had to take a break to go the bathroom! Maddie got 2nd place over all.
This is a picture of Reagan as she is approaching the finish line. Reagan got 4th place overall. I didn't get a picture of Morgan when she was approaching the finish line.
All 3 of the girls won a $5 Freddy's gift certificate. Maddie & Reagan were in the same age group and they got 1st and 2nd. Morgan got 3rd in her age group!
After the awards were handed out, the girls went over to the playground at the park to play while I talked to a few people. Once I got to the park playground, the girls were mostly interested in me taking pictures of Kate. Here is a picture of Kate chilling in the lady bug!
Kate looks so peaceful and content sitting in this swing! Believe me it took some mighty quick photography to get this picture while she was calm.

Maddie wanted to show me how Kate could walk across this suspension bridge. It was obvious from the beginning that Maddie was much more excited about it then Kate was.
