Weekend in Topeka
This last weekend we went to Topeka for Rob's final baseball tournament of the season. The girls and I got up early and drove to Kansas City to Worlds of Fun & Oceans of Fun.
Maddie & Morgan rode the kiddie boats with Reagan. You have to be less than 54" to get on the boats and Morgan was barely short enough to ride. We spent the morning going on a few of our favorite rides and then we headed over to Oceans of Fun. Last trip Reagan hated the one big roller coaster she was able to go on. This time she asked to go on it again and as soon as we finished she was asking to do it more. My how things change in a couple of weeks. We had fun, but we ran out of sunscreen so we got a bit burnt!
We then headed to Topeka for the baseball tournament. Rob rode up with one of his team mates and met us there and then Mark drove up after work. Here the girls are watching the game before Rob's. Reagan has been very attached to her baby lately. I'm not sure why the baby was on her head, but she was. Reagan loves to sit in the baby stroller, too.
For the girls this "cadillac port-a-potty" was the absolute highlight of the tournament. They had never seen anything like it before and visited it constantly. There were 4 different stalls inside the women's side. The adults weren't quite as impressed as the kids. I thought it was really nice for a port-a-potty, but it is still hard for me to think that any port-a-potty is really that nice.
This was the special fuzzy blanket that Reagan found at the hotel. She slept on this blanket on the floor and she felt like she had the best spot in the room!!
The game ended too late on Friday so the girls had to wait until Saturday morning to swim. Swimming in the hotel pool is always a highlight for them.
I figured I better post at least one baseball picture since we were in Topeka for baseball. This was a picture that Mark took. Rob couldn't quite reach the ball so thus he doesn't think the picture is that great, but I sure like it!!
The second best thing of this tournament for the girls was this giant snow cone. The picture really doesn't do it justice to show just how big it was. The 3 girls ate it together and they were completely sick of it by the end. Reagan kept the empty cone and used it as a witches hat for her doll.
And here is a close-up of the snow cone.
