Cutting our own Christmas Tree

I've always wanted to go cut down our own Christmas tree. This year we were actually able to do it. There is a Christmas tree farm about 10 minutes from our house and we got back from Kansas City early enough on Saturday that we were able to go.There were lots of trees to choose from and most of them were pretty ugly! We had a hard time agreeing on which tree we wanted. After much debate, we finally decided.
We all agreed to let Mark have the honor of cutting down the tree.
This is a picture of Morgan & Reagan on the hayride after we cut down our tree. It was actually relatively warm outside, probably in the 50's to 60's, but Reagan was wearing her brand new coat so she had the hood on as well!

Here is our tree! The trees at the tree farm were definitely not the most beautiful trees that I've ever seen. However, the experience of cutting down our own tree was definitely a good one!! We can live with a funny looking tree.
