Reagan's Ornament Party
These are the kids that came to Reagan's party. Most of them are from her preschool class. Last year she invited all of the girls from her class. However, this year a boy was at the top of her list of kids that she wanted to invite. She picked another boy in her class to invite as well, so there wouldn't be only one boy. My friend Kathy stayed and helped me with the ornament making because I felt like it would be a little bit too much for me to help 11 5-year olds make ornaments all by myself. The kids had fun playing together, but they were pretty wild. At one point, they were playing a tackling game. We got them to change activities by doing the gift exchange at that point.
These are the ornaments they made. They all enjoyed painting the bell and then Kathy and I did the finishing work on the bell. The pom pom candy cane was fast and easy and they all did that. Both the jingle bell candy cane and the bead wreath took some time to string the bells and beads. Quite a few of the kids did one of those and weren't interested in doing the 2nd one. We just let them do what they wanted to do so it would be enjoyable for everyone!
We had a few unhappy kids after the gift exchange. However, I was able to get in my stash of presents and trade presents with kids so everyone was happy!
