Buffalo River - High Adventure 2013

This was the 2nd time that Mark & Rob had been to a High Adventure Activity on the Buffalo River.  This time, though they went over 70 miles down the river compared to around 50 last time.  The weather was perfect this time.  It was overcast and not so blistering hot.  There was one time they had to get out of the water for a thunderstorm that lasted about an hour, but otherwise there wasn't rain either.  I also posted a group of pictures on facebook on Mark's facebook page.  He is always happy to have me post high adventure pictures each year, but isn't too interested in posting much else.
Rob likes to be in the same canoe as his Dad and we can see why right here, Mark paddles while Rob fishes.  This is pretty much the scenario all day long!!

Rob with a fish he just caught - and Mark with his paddle in hand!

                                  Time to eat!!

Rob started an activity where the boys would take sticks and hit rocks into or across the river.  They would also throw rocks across the river.  Mark said they did this practically every time they were on the shore.

Another picture of Rob fishing and mark rowing.

Rob said they saw a hobo that went over to this rope swing and climbed to the top really fast.  After he got down, he went into the woods and ran away.  Rob climbed to the top of the rope, too, to prove he could.  He had a great time on the rope swing!
