Last week when we all drove past Wilson Lake, we thought it was beautiful. The girls wanted to drive past it on the way home, but in the end we decided that we would have Wilson Lake be our day trip the following week. This week's day trip we had 25. When we were discussing it later with Rob, he said, "These are not day trips, they are more like day camps because there are so many people!" Ha, ha, ha!! Personally, I think they are very fun. The more the merrier.
When we first got to the lake Cassie and Morgan tried to set up our badminton net in the water!
Badminton net in the water was a total fail!! Eventually they just gave up!
If you look close you can see how tangled the fishing line is. One of the little boys took Maddie's fishing pole for a short time and this is what it looked like when it came back. Maddie was a little irritated at first. I thought it was funny and I was surprised it could get that tangled in that short amount of time!
Unloading the boats. Beatie's rented 2 canoes, 2 pedal kayaks, 2 two person kayaks and 2 single person kayaks from the base. They were a lot of fun!!
Lee and Maddie on the shore with Maria digging sand in the background!
Reagan with the beach ball she just blew up!
Reagan eats her lunchable for lunch!
Maddie, Michael, Tom and Jaxen getting ready to canoe!
Reagan, Maria and Jay doing a little canoeing!
Kim, Maddie and Michael doing a little canoeing!
Our base camp on the shore. Regina's canopy was super nice!
We stopped at the Olive Garden in Salina for dinner on the way home. Once again we had a great time and got home after 10 pm. These summer daytrips are definitely creating some fabulous memories!!
