On Monday, July 29th we left for Mount Rushmore at 4:30 am. We met the others at Quik Trip and then headed on out. We skipped stopping in Hebron, Nebraska at the World's Largest Porch Swing because it was pouring down rain.
Here is a back view of the trunk after we had stopped for lunch. Too bad, I didn't notice the precarious position of the pickles when I took the picture! When we got to the corn palace in Mitchell, South Dakota, we opened the trunk and the jar of pickles fell out. It made a big mess and got on some sleeping bags, too. Rob did not find in funny that I was laughing and taking pictures of it!
