When I read about Carhenge on Roadside America I was captivated. I didn't tell the kids, but I was very excited to go see it and it was definitely not a let down. My Mom also told me she had been here and I was super excited to hear about that!
Carhenge is a replica of Stonehenge in England - made of old junked cars rather than stones! It was pretty ingenious!

Kim took this picture of me talking with one of the bikers. It was fascinating to talk to the bikers. This guy had logged more than 200,000 miles on his Harley and had been to about 46 states - all but Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington. He had just gone out and bought his new bike the Saturday before and all ready had over 2,000 miles on it. One of the other bikers (one of this guy's buddies) that I talked to at Carhenge had been on the road since about May and he had all of his belongings with him except for a couple of boxes which were at his daughter's house. He had made some good investments earlier in his life which allowed him not to work now and live the life of a biker.
Rob posing for me on this awesome bench made of bumpers and wheel rims - very fitting!!
