Roadside America Fun in Denver

Out motel on Friday was within walking distance of the Ballpark.  The neighborhood where the motel was located was a bit scary but everything turned out good.  Rob was anxious to get to the baseball field and so we gave the kids the choice to go early to the baseball game or to go walking around Denver with me looking for Roadside America attractions.  Morgan chose to go with me and the others chose to go to the baseball game early.  Morgan and I left about 20 minutes after the others.
As we were walking to downtown Denver we passed the baseball park and saw Mark, Rob, Maddie & Reagan waiting for the gates to open.  They didn't see us, but I took a picture of them.  I love this picture of what each of them is doing because it really does depict their personalities!!

First stop - the steps of the state capitol building with Morgan on the step which is "One mile above sea level".

Horse on a big red chair in front of the Denver Public library!

This isn't listed on Roadside America, but I thought it was pretty cool and Morgan was willing to get her picture taken with it!

Big Sweep in front of the Denver Art Museum.

 Plumb Bob Brain!

Morgan doing a handstand on this cement structure in front of the Denver convention center.  (This isn't a Roadside America attraction either).

Big Blue Bear in front of the Denver Convention Center!

View from below of the Big Blue bear at the Denver Convention Center!

Morgan by the soundwalk!

After we found the Roadside America attractions, I took Morgan shopping.  Truth be told, that is the main reason she agreed to go with me - because I told her that we would take pictures first and then we could go shopping.  We also ate dinner and we made it to the ballpark by the middle of the first inning.
